To incorporate CBD in Massage Therapy, you need to understand 3 things:
- The Plant
- The Endocannabinoid System
- How to use it in your practice
Please Note:
This course is NOT for CE HOURS.
Learn how to incorporate CBD into your massage therapy practice.
This 4 hour class is a combination of lecture, role-playing, and a 30min hands-on trade. By taking you through mock consultations and conversations with clients, you will gain the confidence and verbiage needed to share about this service with your clients. You will leave this class with a clear understanding as to how and why CBD is an effective addition to massage therapy.
The lecture will include very specific education about the cannabis plant, terpenes, flavonoids, and the differences between Full Spectrum & Isolate products. Learning how to read a Certificate of Analysis is also covered.
We will then dive deep into the human endocannabinoid system, how it works, and how CBD can help support wellness. Contraindications of CBD will be addressed, as well as recommended dosage amounts per session.
Building upon your understanding of the cannabis plant and your understanding of the endocannabinoid system, the class moves into active practice of consultation skills. We will role play FAQ’s from clients and help you develop your own script on how to answer them.
After 3 hours of presentation and verbal practice, we will move into a 30min hands-on trade. Please bring your table and a set of linens. Be prepared to give and receive a 30min session so you can experience and learn on a kinesthetic level.
Class includes take home educational material as well as a sample intake form to use for CBD massage consultations.
