ZOOM | Endocannabinoid System [2 CE's] - NCBTMB Approved
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) Class offers an in-depth exploration of one of the most significant yet often overlooked systems in the human body. This lecture-based course provides a comprehensive understanding of the ECS, from its historical discovery to the latest scientific advancements in the field. Through detailed discussions of cellular mechanisms and systems interplay, students will learn the vocabulary and functions of the ECS and how it operates as a regulator of homeostasis, influencing multiple physiological processes.
The course delves into the ECS’s interactions with various body systems, such as the immune, nervous, and endocrine systems, shedding light on its role in maintaining balance and supporting health. Students will also gain insight into why this essential system is largely absent from traditional medical education, despite its profound impact on well-being.
The primary goal of this course is to equip massage therapists with the knowledge to understand how the ECS supports the body’s response to stress, pain, and inflammation. By the end of the course, participants will have a thorough understanding of the ECS and its key components.
